Swan Hills Synfuels will use in-situ coal gasification to convert a secure reserve of deep (1400 m depth) unmineable coal into syngas. Swan Hills Synfuels is developing two projects – the Swan Hills ISCG Demonstration Project which successfully commenced operations in June 2009, and a larger commercial scale project, the Swan Hills ISCG/Power Project, which is due to begin operations in 2015.
